COVID-19 testing is important to identify those who might have the virus and thus prevent continued spread, as well as to offer appropriate monitoring and treatments. COVID-19 testing completed in our clinics will be offered according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

The CDC recommends that anyone with any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 get tested, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection. For the continued safety of our patients, staff and store customers, purchasing an at-home test kit or scheduling an appointment is highly recommended. This is especially recommended for patients currently exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. Information provided during the appointment process will help our staff determine the best and safest process for treatment. Walk-ins are allowed but will be required to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing guidelines during the visit.

Over the Counter (OTC) COVID-19 Test Virtual Observation

Schedule a COVID Virtual Visit

This service includes a Virtual Visit with a healthcare provider to observe completion of an OTC COVID-19 home test and provide supporting documentation that the test was completed and verify results.

    After you purchase the BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test, QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 Test, or an alternative OTC COVID-19 home test that has an emergency use authorization (EUA), schedule a ‘COVID Virtual Visit (must have home test)’ appointment. One of our healthcare providers will guide you through the process of completing the test.

    This service costs $45 and is not submitted to insurance.

    This observation service is available by Virtual Visit only.

    Virtual Visits scheduled for the purpose of this OTC COVID-19 Test Virtual Observation service are available in all states.

    However, Virtual Visits scheduled for purposes unrelated to COVID-19 are provided by The Little Clinic in select states only: AZ, KY, OH,
    TN, CO, IN, GA, KS, VA.

    • If using these results as documentation for specific work, travel, or other purposes, please ensure an OTC rapid antigen test is an acceptable form of testing by the respective party.
    • Any EUA OTC COVID-19 at-home test kit may be used during this service.
    • Individuals may have insurance coverage for other types of COVID-19 testing ordered and performed by healthcare providers, with no out of pocket cost, when billed to their health plan or the government.

Viral Test*

Schedule a Viral Test

The viral diagnostic test is used to detect an active infection. This test may be offered to you if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been knowingly exposed to the virus. This test may also be provided if required by your travel partner or by your healthcare provider pre-surgery.

*Test available at The Little Clinic locations only, in select states: AZ, KY, OH, TN, CO, IN, GA, KS, VA. Age and state restrictions may apply. Ask your provider for details.

    • Upon arrival to the testing facility, park in the designated area and call the clinic. Remain in your vehicle until a clinic associate instructs you to proceed into the clinic area for your appointment with the provider.
    • Wearing a facial covering or mask is optional, though we recommend that patients exhibiting symptoms wear a mask while in the store and clinic area.
    • During the testing procedure, you will receive a nasal swab under the supervision of our licensed healthcare provider.
    • Results are typically available within 72-96 hours. A licensed healthcare professional will contact you via phone if a positive test result is confirmed. Negative test results will be available in the patient portal and also released via text or email.
    • The cost of the visit is $104 and is typically covered by most health insurance plans. The laboratory may bill an additional $99 fee for the viral test if not covered by insurance.

Rapid Antigen Test*

The Rapid Antigen Test is a viral diagnostic test used to detect an active infection. This test may be offered to you if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been knowingly exposed to the virus.

*Test available at The Little Clinic locations only, in select states: AZ, KY, OH, TN, CO, IN, GA, KS, VA. Age and state restrictions may apply. Ask your provider for details.

    • Upon arrival to the testing facility, park in the designated area and call the clinic. Remain in your vehicle until a clinic associate instructs you to proceed into the clinic area for your appointment with the provider.
    • Wearing a facial covering or mask is optional, though we recommend that patients exhibiting symptoms wear a mask while in the store and clinic area.
    • During the test, a nasal swab will be collected under the supervision of our licensed healthcare provider.
    • Results are typically available within 15 minutes. A licensed healthcare professional will notify you of your test results at the end of the appointment.
    • The cost of the visit and test is $154 and is typically covered by most health insurance plans.

Rapid Antibody Test*

Rapid Antibody Tests detect a past infection. You should select this test to find out if you have antibodies from an infection that was more than four weeks ago. This test does not detect active infection.

    • Upon arrival to the testing facility, proceed inside the clinic to check-in.
    • Wearing a facial covering or mask is optional.
    • During the testing procedure, a finger stick is conducted by our licensed healthcare provider.
    • Results are typically available within 15 minutes. A licensed healthcare professional will notify you of your test results at the end of the appointment.
    • The cost of this test is $25, due at the time of your visit; it is not covered by health insurance.

Antibody Blood Test*

The Antibody Blood Test is a send-away antibody test used to detect a past infection. You should select this test to find out if you have antibodies from a previous infection (more than four weeks ago). If you’re currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please schedule a diagnostic test (Viral Test or Rapid Antigen Test), both of which are detailed above.

    • Upon arrival to the testing facility, proceed inside the clinic.
    • Wearing a facial covering or mask is optional.
    • During the test, a venipuncture blood draw will be conducted by our licensed healthcare provider.
    • Results are typically available within 72-96 hours. A licensed healthcare professional will contact you via phone if a positive test result is confirmed. Negative test results will be available in the patient portal and also released via text or email.
    • The cost of the visit is $104 and is typically covered by most health insurance plans. There is an additional lab fee which may be billed to you by the laboratory depending on your insurance plan coverage.

    The Kroger Health COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit is available for over-the-counter purchase at select pharmacy locations. Contact your local pharmacy to confirm test availability. Over the counter COVID-19 rapid antigen testing options are also available at most pharmacies.

    Yes. Diagnostic and antibody testing are available at all our clinic locations in selected states: AZ, KY, OH, TN, CO, IN, GA, KS, VA. Visit The Little Clinic to find the nearest location and to schedule your appointment.

    At this time, our Clinics offer Rapid Antibody testing right in our stores. If you think you’ve had COVID-19, testing is just $25 and typically provides results within 15 minutes.     Rapid Antibody testing is not available at Our Family of Pharmacies.

    The Kroger Health COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit is available for individuals 16+.

    The BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test is available for individuals 2+.

    The QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 Test is available for individuals 2+.

    If you currently have health insurance that is accepted at The Little Clinic, we will file the claim on your behalf for all tests, except for the rapid antibody test. The cost for this service at the clinic is $25 with payment due at time of service. Results will be available during your visit. We do not file an insurance claim for over the counter COVID-19 tests. As of 1/15/2022, at-home COVID-19 tests may be covered by your insurance. Save your receipt and contact your insurance provider for reimbursement.

    The results of all rapid tests will be available within approximately 15-30 minutes. The results for the send-out tests are typically available within 72 to 96 hours, since they are sent to an off-site approved lab for processing. Negative results will be reported to you online via our TLC Patient Portal and/or our healow mobile app. Positive results will be reported to you over the phone by one of our providers, along with recommendations for follow-up care.

    Physician referrals are NOT required for any of the COVID-19 tests.
