Black Cod is also known as Sablefish, and ours is wild-caught off the coast of Alaska in the Pacific Ocean and is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. Like other white fish, black cod is light and flaky with an amazingly buttery texture and mild taste. No wonder you can usually only find it on menus in higher-end restaurants! Greensbury black cod is boneless, but shipped skin-on.
Fun fact: When it comes to heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, black cod is higher in them than any other regularly available fish--including salmon!
