Rice Krispies® Present Treats
Get in the decorating spirit with these buttery, crispy sweets. They’re easier to make than they look and only require five ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz.) marshmallows
- 6 cups of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
- Canned white frosting
- 12 round, stripped peppermint candles
- Food coloring (optional)
Directions:
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Add Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
- Press mixture into a coated 13x9 x 2-inch pan. Cool.
- Cut into 2-inch squares. For each present, stack 2 squares on top each other.
- Pipe frosting on each stack as ribbon.
- Use small amount of frosting to attach one candy to the top of each present as a bow.
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes® Wreaths
Wrap a bow on these candy-dotted holiday treats. You’ll be impressing both you and yours in no time.
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz.) marshmallows
- 6 cups of Kellogg’s® Corn Flakes® cereal
- 1 tsp. green food coloring
- Prepared vanilla frosting
Directions:
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in food coloring.
- Add Kellogg’s Corn Flakes cereal. Stir until well coated.
- Portion warm cereal mixture evenly by using ¼ dry measuring cup coated with cooking spray.
- Using sprayed/buttered hands, quickly shape into individual wreaths.
- Dot with cinnamon candies, using prepared frosting to hold in place.
- Store in a single layer in an airtight container.
