Classic Pecan Pie

- 3 large eggs
- 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1⁄3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup, and melted butter. Beat thoroughly. Stir in the pecans. Pour into the pastry shell.
- Bake for 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and the center of the filling comes out clean. Let cool completely on a rack before serving.
